You are cordially invited to a Celebration from 10:00-5:00 on November 17 and 18, at Elsa and Company, a Charitable Giving Shop located at 719 Commercial Avenue in Anacortes. It’s been four years since Elsa and Company, a home décor and furnishings store, opened its doors with the sincere intent to provide a marketable service and give back to the community in charitable ways.
In 2013, sisters Linda Hendricks, Jan Nations, and Nancy Duffy wanted to find a way to honor their Mom, Elsa Atterberry, who they call an “angel in disguise”. Elsa always wanted to help those in need, so they opened a business to do just that. The women, along with cousin, Virgie Dinnocente, and friend, Rosemary Melling, along with Lindsay, Rhea and Brianne Hendricks, are volunteers, running the store to sell quality products with all of the proceeds from sales going to regional charities.
Elsa and Co. has donated over $100,000 to 33 local and Skagit County charities, including Anacortes Family Center, Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs, Community Action of Skagit County, Summit Assistance Dogs, the Skagit River Poetry Foundation and many more in the past four years. “It’s been powerful to give back to the community,” Hendricks said, “Our staff members are volunteers which enables us to generate charitable income and we meet wonderful people along the way.”
Join Elsa and Company in Celebrating Four Years of Giving Back to the community and surrounding area.
