As I See It with Lewis Jones

Lewis JonesFor Lewis Jones, photography isn’t a hobby or a fading interest, it is an extension and expression of who he is – as an artist, and a person.

In today’s mass market of photographers and photographer wannabes,  a photographer has to create something that’s unique in order to stand out. Lewis’ unique eye is usually drawn to old things – neon signs, buildings, and vintage murals. These subjects have become his signature pieces.

But, there is more is more to Lewis Jones then images of old things, there is a quiet imagination that captures an image and transforms it into a beautiful work of art. They tell us a story. A story of what he saw for a brief click of the shutter. A story that we will not forget. He shares with us his vision of what he sees when he is out photographing a little piece of history.

As I see it, Lewis is a well-respected photographer, an artist, and someone that we all look up to.

Lewis is the past president of the Skagit Valley Camera Club. For fifteen years he gave immense dedication to this service club and under his tutelage the club grew into the great club it is today

You can find Lewis Jones’ amazing images at Scott Milo Gallery in Anacortes.
